Neil Green, MD is the creator and director of the Scottsdale Echocardiography Simulation Training Laboratory. Dr. Green received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from the University of California at Los Angeles where he graduated with honors. He attended medical school at the University of New Mexico where he graduated with honors and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). Following medical school he completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine.
Dr. Green is board-certified in anesthesiology. In 2009, he completed the Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Exam (PTEeXAM) administered by the National Board of Echocardiography. In 2010 Dr. Green was the first participant to be admitted to the newly created University of California at Los Angeles Advanced Specialty Training Fellowship in Transesophageal Echocardiography. In 2011, he completed the National Board of Echocardiography Adult Special Competence Exam (ASCeXAM). Dr. Green was made a Diplomate of the National Board of Echocardiography in 2012. He was elected as a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE) in 2017 for his contributions in teaching echocardiography through a novel simulation based training facility. Most recently Dr. Green completed the 2020 Repeat Advanced PTEeXAM and the 2021 Repeat ASCeXAM.
